20220609 Qld Roma to Eumamurrin
20220609 Arriving in Roma we restock our supplies then head out to Bungeworgorai Creek, a free camp about 10km from Roma where Wendy has saved our camp spot. The last time we were here we encountered a crazy lady with a heap of dogs who was very agitated and became abusive, stay away from one’s like that.
The creek is higher this time and there’s heap of wood, what more could you want, we set up camp and settled in for a few days of games, reading, collecting wood and what ever else we wanted to do.
We poured diesel down the centre of the log then stuffed paper down the guts, I placed it on the fire then waited for the flames to come up the centre but then Des got impatient and decided to chop it up, the idea was for the fire to burn from the inside out.

It’s bloody freezing out here, I so wish I had a nice warm scarf to ware like Wendy’s.😏😅
Wendy cooks up a mean camp roast chicken and veggies and it was scrumptious, Des even went back for seconds
Wendy hit’s the sack while Des and I sit around the fire and get the giggles every time she start’s up her diesel heater, it sounds just like a jet engine that's about to take off.
Wendy found a new sister, her name is Sara and she’s on the road permanently, he was a talker that’s for sure.
These travellers pulled in for a wee break and we just had to check out the old Ford, it has a 600 hp Nissan engine, the owner was so proud of the finished product that he and his son did up.
It has a new Nissan dash and they even put electric window's in her, as great as it looked, I would have much prefered it be kept original.
20220613 Well it’s time to move on plus we need to stops in Roma for a few things so Wendy takes off to finds a camp somewhere along the way. With all of our chores done we head towards Injune when Wendy phones, she’s found a camp spot about 50km out of Roma and there’s heaps of wood, that will do us.
There's nothing like sitting around a nice toastie fire in the middle of no were with not a person in site, just the cattle trucks that go back and forth.
Now let’s think about this, yes it’s a release valve and when you lift the tap water releases, but there’s something not right.🤔
Bugger, no yabbies in this dam.
