20210625 Qld Trinity Park

20210625 Trinity Park is a town situated in and around Kuranda and Yorkeys Knob and is a hop skip and a jump to the Islands off Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, and home to my son Ken. Now each time I've visit my son I have been lucky enough to return home in one piece so it should be interesting to see what sort of shenanigans we can get up to this time.

Our first night at Trinity and Kelly turns up to greet us, it's been a long time coming and it's always great to catch up with this cheeky babe.

20210626 We had a great night full of laughter and much to drink, as we all do when we all get together, but tonight will be the big test with Dave and Trudy and Teresa and Jo joining us for the evening, now things could get messy, no! things will get messy.

The Bluewater Hotel offers a wonderfull view of the marina and surrounding mountains, and a good variaty of delightfull dishes, but be aware of the dredded Lasagna.😬

At the Bluewater Hotel for lunch and to catch up with my beautiful nice Stacy, it's been a long time coming for these cousins who haven't seen each other in years.

Stacy, my niece and Ryan, my grandson, Des the photographer, he just had to get Ryan with his bloody eyes closed, good on ya.

Des drowning, but in his element while gropping Annie and he's not about to let go as he rams his face right in there, talk about a sick old man.
Well that was fun, I'm pretty sure Des is keen for another round.
And the night just got better only this time it's Dave's turn.

So that how the Scottish carry on, bloody discusting.

Well two can play at this game, ha babe, look at me! look at me! 😂

And that's my sexy look, Des looks so captivated, NOT.

Mother and Son duet, and trust me we sounded great.

And we just got better as the night rolled on, we evey herd someone walking by and clapping, true we did.

Des and Teresa in a deep and meaningful, it couldn't have been to meaningfull because Des can't even remember what it was she was shown him.
Conrad's share his photo of the 7 ton catch of prawns in one haul, now Des is thinking, prawns or boobies, it's a hard one.

And the rush is on to see who can peel prawns the fastest and if it wasn't for Conrad double dipping he just may have had a chance.

Then it's Ken's turn to beat the champ, yep, just as I thought, Des had it peeled and in his mouth before Ken could even blink, you loose.

20210627 We all woke a bit fuzzy after a fabulous light catching up with good old friend and meeting new friends in Trudy and Jo, we had a big pig out on fresh prawn sandwitches, giggled heaps and Ken and I serenaded the crew while we danced the light fandango, what more can I say.  Teresa text me saying she woke with a sore jaw and stomach from laughing so much.

Even thow my head was not 100% we managed to all poor into the car and take a trip to check out the markets in town at the botanical gardens where I snapped this display of arts.

Ok! so the story goes like this, Ken was working on his trail bike and decided to take it for a quick run to check out his repairs, well, that was his first mistake. We all know Kens not one to think things through so on he hops with no shirt, but he did were boots and about 100 yards up the road he takes a tumble were he quickly jumps to his feet before anyone see's him picks up his bike and rushes home only to have Annie patch him up while Ken screams like a girl.😖

OMG! I have never seen anyone who takes so bloody long at putting on a dam bandage, and it was a stick on.
This girl will never make a nurse. Arr for christ sack just stick the bloody thing on as they both discuss which way to place the bandage.
FFS, talk about painfull to watch, I don't think I've ever seen anyone so gental, I need a drink.

20210628 Annie had the day off and Ken works when ever he wants, or so it seem, so we decided to have a movie day at home and chill out with the exception of a bit of a tidy up in the back yard followed by a dump trip, at least we achived something before Ken found a comfy spot on the lounge were he slept all day, how can anyone sleep that much, but this is Ken we're talking about.

20210629 Unfortunatly it's time to leave and let these guys return to some sort of normality as we pack up and say our goodbys before heading to Mareeba to catch up with Desie's old mate Jeff.

20190825 Qld Charleville Rock Pool

20190825 About 12ks before Charleville there’s a Rock Pool that was once a quarry and in the summer months a great place to take a dip and cool off but now it’s a great place to camp while sitting around a fire with good friends enjoying and cold ale and what better reason but to catch up with Dick. We joined Dick for a run into town for supplies and stopped to check out the Tower Mural, featuring the youths of Charleville intertwined through sports, painted in a 3D style around a tall, narrow 30-metre-high tower. Our camp for the next few days with Dick’s music blasting out the camp and yes, we had to turn it down because it was keeping a baby awake, next time I’m putting up a sign “NO KIDS ALOUD”. The boys go in search of wood and drags back a large log, now that’s the way to do it Dick. Sit on the log Dick, so I can get a photo, ya sure that will never happen, spoil sport. 20210421 NSW Standing Stones to Tenterfield

20210421 We woke to a 1 degree bloody freezing morning, thank god we have a diesel heater, we meet a couple who came in late yesterday afternoon who didn't have a heater at all, stuff that. Des decided to go back to Glen Innes and find the Australian Standing Rocks, as they are called, not Stonehenge as I thought so I set google map for the site and within 10 minutes good old Google guided us in the correct direction. The Stones were created in 1991/92 and the stones commemorate all Celtic people who helped pioneer Australia. The Stones acknowledge the contribution to Australian culture made by people from the Celtic nations of Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall, Wales, the Isle of Man, Brittany, Asturias and Galicia. Look! is that a little leprechaun roaming the grounds .😏 The Ancient Celts were farming people who lived across Europe and the British Isles around 2600 years ago and raised stones as calendars to mark the change of seasons to help indicate when they should sow and harvest.
