20210704 Qld Fletcher Creek
20210704 Fletcher Creek is only about 42 km north of Charters Tower and you can bassically camp where ever you like especially if you get in early you could have a nice spot over looking the fresh running creek. With the Big Bash over it could be a hit or miss situation as the vans start rolling in sometimes quite early just to get a camp spot and I must say their are thousands of vans on the road.
The things you do just to get reception.
Our camp for the next few luck Des and I stopped and got heaps of wood so we should be good.
20210705 We had a few drinks last night while sitting around our fire and telling many funny yarns of our mate/ Wendy's husband Daryl and Des even told us some tales of their school days and how they were in the ding-a-lings class while Wendy and I peed laughing.
Wendy's camp washing machine, ha! as long as it works.
We take a strolled to the creek were I'm not far behind with my camera in toe, now push him Wendy, I'm kidden.😅
We have two paperazzi's roaming the grounds taking photos, Desie's worst nightmare.
The bloody crows take over the very full bin creating an even bigger mess.
The cowboys are out rounding up there herd and their having trouble getting them across the creek, then one of the guys yells out to a camper to move back because she was spooking them, and it wasn't me.
And off they go running through the camp as they head home.
Sneaky Wendy is at it again.
It's lunch time so Queen Wendy watches us from in her balcany, show off.
I'ts happy hour so we grab a drink and set up a game of Rummy and the hag thrashed me so I thought I would get her back with a game of cheekers and she thrashed me on that as well, I'm never playing games with you again. 😒😠
Jaffels for dinner tonight if Des ever gets the fire going, he's good at smothing it, get out of the way, NO! yelled Wendy, she's such a kill joy.
20210706 We woke to a lovely sunny day so after breaky Wendy and I head out for a walk and check out the other camps across the way and hopefully snap some nice shots of the creek flowing past while Des checks on his yabbie pot.
I must say her little phone takes great shoots, now get that thing out of my face, bloody paperazzi.
Fletcher Creek a great free camp spot situated on the banks of a flowing and clear creek, great for swimming and fishing.
Stuck between a rock and a hard place, that's Wendy and I to a T, yep its a big rock commenorating the Basalt Wall, which is a 35,200ha of national park containing the Great Basalt Wall, a geological formation of the Toomba basalt flow.
I am thinking it's an historic Power Pole but I couldn't find any information on it.
Wendy invited Frank our fellow neighbour over for a roast lamb dinner tonight and OMG it just mented in our mouths, you can cook for us anytime Wendy, I know Frank was licking his choops especially when she brought out the puff pastry with malibu custard, Frank couldn't stop eating them so Wendy gave him a few for later.
