20210614 Qld St Lawrence
20210614 St Lawrence, is one of the oldest towns on the coast of Queensland and it's major attractions is the Wetlands, freshwater fish habitats and abundant bird life.St Lawrence and in 2016 it had had a population of 235 people, but I'm guessing it's much less than that these days going by the decerted homes through the main street and I must say the homes are in very good condition.

Big Croc On A Boat, sits in the main street as an attraction for the town.
The General Store is a unique piece of history and if your keen for a change it's up for sale for a mear $320,000 with potential to expand the business in many areas including a tourism attraction, now that's debatable.😅
The St Lawrence Hotel, it may not look much from the outside but it has lots of appeal a great reviews.
The station is still used today and it has a lovely appeal about it.
After our tour of the town and a bit of a chat with one of the local's who proudly showed us some photo's of his big catch of muddies which I could see Des drawling at the thought we head to the show grounds and once we set up I grabbed my camera and walked to the wetlands to check out the abundance of bird life, apparently.
They say that over 55 waterbird species have been recorded in the area, with 92 bird species recorded in total, well gee, I'm buggered if I can see many.
But we did come across this little lady waiting in the shrub watching us very closely as we pass her by.
Walking the grounds looking forI found some insperation in the old yards.
Then after my walk I found some more insperation, not that I give a shit.😏
