07062021 Qld Rivers Heads to Childers
07062021 Arriving at Margie and Bocco for a couple of day to catch up on some drinking, as if we need it, out they come and greet us with a warm welcome then Margie opens a bottle of champus, proberly not a good idea in the middle of the day but what the hell. Margie cooks up a feed of delicious fresh fish to go with our champus which is going to my head but that doesn't stop us. Then our hostest prepairs dinner and from what I can remamber it was yum, but apparently I fell to sleep at the table, I knew I shouldn't have had the champagne.
A few wines then add a bit of Roy Orbison and what do you get, a couple of old hags dancing around the lounge singing while Desie and Bocco shake there heads.
Check out the new addition to the family, Honey the golder retriever, how cute is that little face, she bloody well want to be cute she cost as much as a horse.
09062021 It' time to move on as we say our goodbys and head to Childers to camp behind the shops in the free camp for the night. Childers is always a busy town with some interesting shops to browse and fill in you day.
Childers Pharmaceutical Museum is a heritage-listed former pharmacy, it was designed by F H Faircloth and built from 1902 to 1909, it is also known as Gaydon's Pharmacy and Tourist Information Centre, and well worth a brows.
I can still remember my Aunty Olge having a Vincent ever morning to cure her hangover, but then again hangover or not she still took them.
What a weapon, this 1906 cash regester is in pounds, shillings and pence, now I'm showing my age, those were the days.
