04062021 Qld Hervey Bay
04062021 There's always a friend or three to catch up with along the way and what better time to do so as we approch their part of the world, and it just so happens we have a couple in the beautiful Hervey Bay, just a hop, skip and a jump to Fraser Island and one of the best bays to catch a glimps of the whales as they migrate from mid-July through to early November. It is estimated that over 3,000 whales will pass Hervey Bay in a single season and did you know that whales can grow to 15 metres in length and weigh up to 45,000 kg.
Check out our Crosie, he's up and getting around and to think about a year ago he couldn't talk or walk and now we can't shut him up, and he's just about skipping around the yard, "well" maybe not skipping but at least he's walking with a big cheesy grin on his dial. Add we can't forget Spud who comes to the van for a treat and a pat when his weary legs let him, yes our spud is getting old.
The Little Historic town of Howard
It's hard to beleave we traveled over 300 ks to end up at some random markets in Howard and who do we run into, another hag from the Redlands, Narell and daughter Stevie then Des ran into our old machnic from the Redlands, John, gee what a small world.
It wasn't quite like this at the markets but this is her in a nut shell.😂😅
06062021 Karen and I leave the boys at home while we head to another market looking for some bargans then head home to make lunch for the hard working boys at home, 'NOT". after lunch we all go for a bit of a tour around Hervey Bay while taking in the sites.
Point Vernon, a coastal suburb of Hervey Bay, named in 1861 after Captain Charles Vernon, commander of HMS Cordelia which had conveyed Governor Bowen to Queensland in 1859.
Our Karen has become a bit of a green finger these days and her orchards love there new home.
One of Crosie's new inventions made out of PVC and a chain and 'weller', you have a hanging garden.
Crossie put Des to work making some new hanging plants holders, make the most of him Cros.
A big muddie to cover a big pottie, it works well Crossie.😅
So here the old boy sits while we all wait on him, would you like a cup of tea Cros, here's your dinner Cros and don't worry, he's lapping this up and loving it, and there's that big cheesy grin again.
It's so great to see our old mate making such great progress, see you guy on our next trip.💕
