20190514 Qld Eulo to Toompine
20190514 The last time we were in Eulo was 2012 and we camped on the Paroo River which was much prettier but due to the wet the camp area was dusty and it’s much hotter and full of those tiny annoying bloody fly’s, so we opted to move on but first we check out the town.

In 2011 and not far from Eulo, one of Australia’s most concentrated accumulation of megafauna fossils was discovered, which included a large Diprotodon, nicknamed ‘Kenny’. It lived over 2.6 million years ago, is the largest Australian species of megafauna with males weighing as much as 2.8 tonnes.
Just imagine living in a town where there's more Lizards than people, how cool.
Currawinya National Park, a stretch of narrow straight road heading to Toompine.
One minute we’re driving through a baron scenery and scatted gums which I found to be quite pretty with the red dirt as a back drop.
Then to our surprise we’re driving through water over the causeway as Des hits the skids, talk about freaky.
A lonely calf wonders the station as we come to our turn off to Toompine.
The name ‘Channel Country’ comes from the numerous intertwined rivulets that cross the region, covering 150,000 km.
I’m really loving the beauty that surrounds this country.
You even get that touch of bush graffiti painted on the rocks.
And just like that we’re back to flat planes.
Yes, we had to slow down and get off the road many time on these one lane outback roads, move it or loose it.
