20180501 VIC Dadswells Bridge to Horsham

30-04-2018 They say the Giant Koala Complex in Dadswell Bridge is a must to see, they say it’s a great family attraction that puts you in touch with koalas and kids can pat native animals, well! first up they wanted $8 for a hat pin normally only 4 to $5 but what really got to me was the fact you couldn’t use the toilets unless you brought something from the shop, now that is scabby.

The Giant Koala is a 14 metre high and was completed in 1988 by international known sculpture Ben Van Zetten.

I look up and across the road is a Turkey Farm, I've never seen a Turkey Farm before, let check it out Des, as we get closer they all come running gobble, gobble more like Yum, Yum.
Unfortunately this long term farmer is living on borrowed time thanks to the major manufacturers who can sell breast fillets as little as $6 a Kilo, Dadswells Bridge is one of only three left in the state.

We camped just out of Horsham when Des spotted a dam that looked like it just could have some yabbies so out comes the pots, now we wait.

20180501 I never read my signs but I glanced and thought how curious: The Gemini (me) love to talk and it’s not just idle chatter either, get this, the driving force behind a Gemini’s conversation in their mind, (ha) forever probing people and places in search of information and we are bright, quick- witted and the proverbial life of the party, Can a Gemini be boring? Never!πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Yaa! his first catch this trip now we will have to stay a week, Not, but he did return the pots while drove into n Horsham for a look.
The Exchange and Royal Hotel in Horsham are both a remarkable pieces of architect dating back to the early day.

The Royal Hotel in the early days, one of the most striking features was the veranda, unfortunately removed because the post were too close to the gutter and the ground moved.

The Royal Hotel  today, still a striking piece of the past.

After we wondered the town, check out some old shops, brought some chops we headed back to our camp (Burnt Creek), Des Checks his pot, time to give up but 60 isn't bad.
