Wellington Gateway
Sculpture was made from girders of the old Wellington Bridge which collapsed in
1989, its form was based on the shape of a seed pod.
Flower Pod on the
sculpture symbolises the region’s fertility, and is appropriately decorated
with flowers, seed pods, leaves and grasses worked in metal and glass, representing
the fertility of the valley and the future potential of the town.
