20160413 Tas Deloraine

20160413 Ge! Guess what, another historical town although Deloraine has been classified as a National Trust town of historical significance.  But it really is a pretty town with its old buildings and sculptures that are scatted through the streets.

We went in search of a camp spot when Des noticed a guy at the back of his van so he went to ask how much to stay in the park & bugger me dead it was the made couple we meet at Fingal, surprise, surprise. Wayne yells to Maureen, looks who’s here as I pop me head in the van, and there was a grin from ear to ear, Maureen recons I have an infectious laugh, gee I’ve never been told that before.

We chatted for a bit then Maureen told us of the free camp across the river and as usual it is set up along a train line so you can expect to be woken by the whistle as it passes by.

Deloraine is sits on the banks of the Meander River.
A B&B with Laurel and Hardy greeting you, how cool.

Phil, a travel friend told us of a 50’s Retro Dinner so we went in search and found it and man it is soo cool.  I had taken some photos then told no photos aloud so some of these are downloaded.
This place is just awesome talk about take a step back in time.

Les Cazneau would love these and the shop is full of restored old bowsers.

Waitress on Roller Blades

This is so cool a 1957 Chevy seat and it’s for sale.

Who remembers growing up with one of these, I'd loved to take this home for Sharyn’s boys.
The old and new Chest Fridge, who ever restores these item is bloody good at it.

Even the garden has a special touch with the kettle hedge.
A racing car and bowser hedge, well done.

Now doesn't that makes a pleasant change from old buildings and churches, thank god.
