20160412 Tas Bracknell, Bishopsbourne, Carrick to Westbury

20160412  I think we got a bit lost Des, we just did a full circle driving through Bracknell onto Bishopsbourne up to Carrick and back to Bracknell, how did we manage that, but it was a nice drive anyway and I got some great fly by shoots.
Bishopsbourne with a population of only 78, has a church, graveyard and a recreation ground, say no more.

Carrick is a small historic village on the banks of the Liffey River with a Hotel and an In.
This 1846 stone building known as “Monds Roller Mill” is the town’s best feature.
But this 120 year old “Archers Folly” building which burnt down in 1978 captured my attention, although Des doesn’t get it.

We camped at the sports ground at Bracknell with a church, and recreation ground, I’m guessing the sports ground is for the campers passing through because there’s nothing else here and it looks as though it hasn't been used in some time.  Again we had a few drinks and walked the grounds looking for mushrooms, well there’s nothing else to do and we did find a couple and yes they are the edible ones.

I guessing a parrot, but don’t know its name, one for Karan and Doug.

13-04-2016 Waking late as we do we left for Westbury and lovely village with English charm and many lovely historic buildings.

An arial view of the town and The Holy Trinity Church 1874 where Father James Hogan was Westbury first priest, handsome, charming and energetic, he who served this community for 50 years and won the hearts of every family.  He is buried beside the altar inside his own church, Oww, that’s creepy.
We can’t forget the old Hotel as she stands on the corner in all her spender.

SO TRUE
