20160213 Tas Leven Canyon

20160213 On our way to Leven Canyon driving through many windy roads and rolling hills scatted with cattle, just what I need Desie’s dreaming again.

The scenery along the way, so lovely and peaceful.
Stopping at Preston Falls which was a tad disappointing but I’m sure it would look impressive in the wet season.
Op’s that doesn’t look good.
The sign on the shed says it all, I love it.
At Leven Canyon we took the 45 min walk which included steep terrain and many steps, I don’t mind going down but man I hate the hard slog back up.

Our camp for the night at Leven Canyon, she was a tad chilly but we were very warm inside our van, not like the poor backpackers sleeping in their cars.

14-02-2016 After a very cosy sleep we woke to a drizzly cold morning but not as cold as last night.
Logging on the way down the mountain.
Now this is what we like to see in the country, the cattle being herded up the roads.
Desie’s dream to have land in the country with a few cows.
Des was picking Black Berry’s on the side of the road when he was caught by the farmer, I just sprayed them the farmer yells out, come up here and pick them from my drive way, we got to chatting with him (Theo) and he said if we pass this way again to call in, how lovely.

I love the quirky letter boxes they have in these little towns.
