20151003 SA Nullabor
20151003 We packed up showered at the local garage, filled the tank and left Norseman to head across the Nullarbor, Yaa!. We camped up for the night at a quite rest spot in the bush which was full of fly’s.

20151004 I don’t know why, but I’m quite excited about crossing the Nullarbor and it’s the only time I have really wanted to drive. The only trouble with me driving is I can’t take my photos so I guess if I’m going to do it this is the place to do it’s there is really nothing to see.
Yaaa! I just drove the longest straight in Australia without a stop and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
At the end of the straight you can stop for refreshments at the Eucla Motel which is a welcoming rest.
The Whale is 10m long, 3m wide, 3m high and weighs 4 tonnes and is constructed of Ferro concrete, (whatever that is) and it came from Albany, the oldest town in W.A. and the only shore based whaling station in the southern hemisphere (now a museum) hence the adoption of the whale as a symbol.
The cross is dedicated to all Christians and to those whose efforts made this highway and a New Eucula, 18th October 1969. I would be more inclined to think it was blood, sweet, and muscles that built it.
All we have seen so far are dead Roo's and all I want to see is a Wombat.
Well here we are and we haven't killed each other YET!.
Most of the coastline adjoining the park is limestone cliffs up to 90 metres above sea level.
The aim of the park is to protect it the outstanding Marine life and allow the sustainable use of the natural resources in the area.
OMG! Check this out, I am lost for words, amazing, just amazing, I am at the Bight of Australia, now I understand why it was name The Great Australian Bight as the ocean is washing Australia away.
This is where we parked the night, and I thought parking on the Great Ocean Road couldn’t get any better but I am just in ore by the sheer size of these cliffs and the Van looks like a tine white dot on the edge of a cliff.

The Great Australian Bight on Sunset, just Breathtaking
