20150917 WA Ravensthorp, Hopetown to Fitzgerald NP
20150917 We camped up just out of Ravensthorp a town with a wealth of mining history, more than 90 gold and copper mines have operated at one time or another in the range since the 1980s, however, there is only minor gold activity now.

18-09-2015 We decided to take a trip to Hopetown and camp for a couple of days only once there we were told by a local that they have put up no camping signs but there is camping for big rigs at Fitzgerald National Park but there’s a fee to enter and camp, what’s new.
I would sure love to catch the squid this cuttlebone came from, there huge. This is just a beautiful beach, I could stay here for ever.
We camped at Kindip rest area another one of those great camp spots in amongst the bush land, ya gotta love bush camping.
We checked out Ravensthorp Wildflowers Show, well it wasn’t bad for a small town, I guess but the wild flowers are certainly pretty.

Esperance King Spider Orchid and an arrangement of W.A’s native plants.
I found this pretty patch down the street but they are everywhere.

The drive to the National Park is a must especially when you see views like this.

I know, it's another rock but they are just so different.

I walked the grounds when I came upon this notice which has an interesting insight into the history of this area.
I came upon this old hut as I wonder through the bush only the bees have claimed it as their home but that could have more to do with all the bee hives out the back.
I finish this episode with this lovely wild bush plant.
