20120231 Discovered by Angus McMillan in 1840, the first resident of Sale, then known as Flooding Creek, was Archibald McIntosh who set up a forge, store and butcher's shop, making Flooding Creek a settlement.  Flooding Creek was renamed Sale in 1850 after General Sir Robert Sale, known for his part in the first Afghan war, being killed in battle in1845.

20120301 We found a nice lake and parked up for the night, it was still raining so we had a quiet afternoon watching TV and relaxing.

20120302 The rain eased so we walked to town found a Bakery pigged out on a pie then continued our tour of Sale, took some photos then back home.  Another man-made walking track with the added bonus of the Botanic Garden at the top of the park, this was a great walk with lots of interesting features and wildlife.  Time for a photo shoot, I'm using the wind angle lens a lot more on this trip but it's a pain carrying around three Len's, I'm going to need a good massage when I get home.

Marking the town centre is this large Clock tower and on one of the street corner stands the Star Hotel Sale
