20120318 VIC Port Fairy to Portland
20120318 Stopped at Port Fair on the water for lunch, tempted to stay the night but had to meet Winnie & Heather in Portland and I'm excited to catch up with familiar friends.
We camped up and were greeted with hugs and kiss's then out comes the chairs followed with wine and beer and then it begins. We followed the sun around as much as we could then ended up beside the van.

What's tickling her fancy, of cause Des licking Heathers hairy legs, don't know where that come from but we had a good laugh when I found the photos the next day.
Ha Heather, what did you and Des get up to last night.
Heather:what do you mean.
Leonie: Check out these photos, Heather and I laughed and laughed but couldn't remember any of the photos, we assumed Mal must have taken them.
We shopped till the boys phoned complaining they were hungry plus the car needed to be rescued from a parking fine. Heather was going down hill, my feet were beginning to ache so we salvaged the car did some groceries shopping bought the guys and us lunch and headed home. The boys were happy to see us for there food then we asked about the photos which Mel denied taking but was telling us about Des licking Heathers leg, bull shit said Des. We are all very unsure about the hole night, Des doesn't remember licking Heathers leg, Heather doesn't remember Des licking her leg,I don't remember taking the photos, and Mel reckons he remembers the complete night, now that makes for a great night in my books and the proof is in the photos.

Made in honour to Vida Goldstein who represent ‘Australians All’ who campaigned for women to be given the vote, in 1902 became the first woman in the British Empire to be nominated and to stand for election to a national parliament. She got many votes but in the end was defeated; she continued to campaign for the right to vote for women. Although we were permitted to vote in federal elections, women had not been granted the right to vote in many states, including my own state of Victoria. We eventually won the right in 1908.

These towns have abundance of historical buildings scatted through out the towns. Even there homes a full of character.
After lunch Heather and I up dated some of our blog and discussed the difference between our travelling methods, Winnebago or Camper Van. It's great to arrive at your destination turn on the gas and your ready for a drink compared to setting up a Camper Trailer. But Winnie and Heather could go to location we could never go, but I don't care I love my Winnebago.
This Frog Mouth Owl was happy to pose for a photo while sitting on his branch.
Now this bird is a different story, all along the coast we have herd this unusual sound like a dog barking but could never place it until now. No one can tell me what this bird is called so I'm leaving this one to our mate Doug, this will be a real challenge for him.
Heathers off the wine but brought some cans so yes were having a few more drinks but this time we organised a BBQ which Heather and I cooked while the boys washed up because Mel doesn't cook, the big sook.
After dinner we returned to the Van for a few more drinks and Mel and I indulge our self once again. The night was a lot more mellow but we still managed to stay up till after 12.00pm.
19-03-2012 Heather and Mel were up and at had all the goods packed away and Camper Trailer loaded up ready to go way before Des and I opened our eyes. We had to be out by 10.00am so we said our good buys and they drove out heading for the Great Ocean Road.
All packed and ready to go, Arr so are we and we just got up, sorry I just had to throw that in.

19-03-2012 I woke the next day all a bit of a blur, Des complained of my snoring that night but what would I know. Heather was a bit, no! a lot hung over, she drank three bottles of wine trying to keep up with me and she was suffering (poor Heather) hasn't drank like that for over 9 months. Mel was kind enough to offer us his car so Heather and I to go shopping which we excepted without delay, Ya a girls shopping trip, Ooo how I have longed for a girls day out. We made the most of it driving along the water and stopping along the way for some photo shoots when I was going through my photos and noticed some incriminating photos of Heather and Des.
