20120307 VIC Brownie-Launching Place

20120307 Arrived at Brownie's who was still at work, but we meet his mate Mal who showed us around until Brownie turned up, we had a couple of drinks but had an early night.

This town is called Cockatoo and its on the way to Brownies it looked cool.
08 & 03092012 Brownie had to work the next 2 days, so Des and I lazed around, and I did some catch up on my blog. We meet Jude Brownies girlfriend Friday night had a few drinks but not a late one.

20120310 Brownie showed us around his 150ft x 50ft wide shed you have to see it to believe it, I have never seen so much (now how do I put it) gear for the wont of a better word.  All up he has 38 Motor Bikes and not one going, it was a standard joke Brownie was supposed to go for a ride this weekend but no bike to ride.
   
Brownie has 120 acres which backs on to a National Park, this is the view from the top of his property, not bad ha.

Jude put on a small dinner party that night and after woods brownie lit a Bonn fire thank god, it was freezing, we all sat around and got merrily pissed, danced and sang it was a great night had by all.

 Let the Party Begin
20120311 O my god I forgot it's a long weekend, that could be dangerous Des and I were going to leave the next day but of cause we all hit the piss again along with homemade pizza and roast pork rolls.  We sat around the fire again, only this time we had live entertainment (Elvis), well that's what Brownie recons he looked like, and Des agreed.  We all had another great night Brownie started drinking early and went to bed early the slack prick, but he was pretty wasted so it was properly a good move then Des followed as we had to leave the next day and he has to be zero alcohol.  I stayed and partied a bit longer enjoying the warm fire and the company of good people but by 2.30pm it was time to turn in. 

Now that's a sight to behold, guess who the flasher is?

Wasted days and wasted night


I almost forgot to mention the Masturbater, made by one of Brownie's mates out of bits and pieces from a car motor, now a fire place for his pool room.

12.03-2012  We packed up said our goodbyes got some direction and headed for Melbourne.  Lost already,we were on the road for about 45 min went we noticed we were back in Launching Place, not happy Brownie, we finally got back on track heading for Ballarat.

20240911 NSW Moonbi Lookout to Walcha, Aratula to Home

20240911 On our way towards Tamworth, we heard there rain heading our way so our aim is to park at the lookout in Moonbi that has solid ground. The wood has been stripped around the camp site so I walked deeper into the bush and returned with a bag, there’s no stopping me when it comes to my fires. Des prepared dinner while I set up the fire, we had dinner then sat around my nice fire while sitting under the nights stars and enjoying a few ales. We had a new camper turn up today and camped just in front of us with his little Jack Russell Dog who came for a visit and took a liking to Des. The Moonbi Lookout, Perched on a huge granite outcrop at an elevation of 754m (2,473ft) above the sea level. The View overlooking the valley below, stunning. The Moonbi Lookout is off the New England highway then follow the Lookout Road to the car park at the top where there is plenty of room for overnight parking. 20240909 NSW Baan Baa

20240909 We left Narrabri looking for Gin’s Leap rest area that’s apparently is on the highway and I have no doubt there will be lots of traffic noise. OMG! We just passed a fox sitting on the edge of the road that looked like a lost puppy, or it had a full belly from pigging out on the dead carcass or maybe it was just watching the traffic go by.  The road from Narrabri is a smooth drive, so far, as we search for a place to camp, when we spotted a road to the left so Des turned off and there in the middle of nowhere stood an old pub in the town of Baan Baa. W e asked if we could say the night, sure the young barmaid said, the meals looked delicious, they had my favourite crumbed lamb chops so thats me sorted for dinner.  I walked the town and got some photos before retiring to the van for a nap while listening to the laughter coming from the Pub so later in the afternoon we cracked a beer, drank it then off to the pub we went.
