20120317 VIC The 12 Apostles
20120317 Most of the towns we passed through were just another town with the exception of a couple. We stopped at Port Cambell built around an inlet which makes for an appealing small town. We were going to stay the night but there was no were flat to camp up, so we drove out.
We saw a sign Boggy Creek Historical Pub, but it was 19ks inland, bugger, it's getting late, and we need to find a place to camp up soon. Drove about 16ks then saw the same sign again only 3ks in so we chanced it and found a park to sleep the night which was a walk to Boggy Creek Pub.
When we pulled up there were people fishing and one of the guy showed us his catch for the day, he had a good feed of bream lucky bugger.
Boggy Creek Pub was one of those old little country pubs that's always a delight to visit. We stayed for a couple of drinks and started chatting with one of the old locales and the bar tender who's family owned a dairy farm with over 800 head and that's a small farm, Des would love to check that out.
The rock formation is changing all the time now were getting closer to the 12 Apostles, wont be long now.
Should I push him or not, na I'll keep him a bit longer.
Yaa were here, now it's spot the Aussie, I took lots of photos of cause and walk around the edge on a man made walk. The site is one of the most impressive I've seen yet. You can take a Helicopter flight over the Twelve Apostles for $95 for 30 min which would have been great apart for the mile long queue, so we gave that a miss.
This is another site down further we stopped at and was merrily clicking away when I said to Des lets go up the top which was on the edge of the cliff for a photo when my batterer went flat, you can imagine the language out of my mouth.
