20160315 Tas Opossum Bay, 7 Mile Beach to Sorell
20160315 After a great time at Hal and Cath's and a few more pointers on things to see we set our course and hit the road, this time in search of an apparently fabulous sea food shop (Red Dragon Seafood) we were told about.
Opossum Bay is a seaside town resting at the very tip of the South Arm Peninsula, so we stopped for lunch, and this was our view.
I walked down to the beach and was pleasantly surprised how lovely it is, now that I could handle a home on the beach, just not in Tassie, I want a beach I can swim not just look at.
Is that someone swimming Des, and trust me it was bloody cold, crazy man.
There was free camping just up the road at South Arm RSL so we stopped for the night.
The South Arm memorial propeller dated 1981.
We’re getting a bit bored so we went for a walk along the beach and as usual Des is always telling me to slow down, and his new one is, do you want people to think we are arguing, well speed up, you’re too slow but as usual his reply is, I’m in no hurry, arr poor Desie his little legs can't walk that fast. I bet if there was $50 blowing down the street his bloody legs would pick up the pace.
16-03-2016 We are usually the last up and the last to leave but then again we are also the last in bed so after breaky we head for Seven Mile Beach.
Seven Mile Beach is only a short drive from Hobart and I found some interesting shells, look what I found Des, I don’t think he’s impressed.
Red Dragon Seafood, well we finally found it and the tank is full with the delicious Rock Lobster but we settled for the fresh fish which was alright but Samson's in Cleveland is still the best.
We stopped at Sorell one of Tasmania's oldest framing towns and the last major towns on the way to the Tasman Peninsula and East Coast.
We stocked up our supplies and posted some parcels off for my little grandsons before leaving Sorell.
Arr my little Boys.
