20220602 Qld Thallon
20220602 We passed a group of emu’s that ran off as we approached and many hawks and crows flying overhead waiting for us to pass so they can swoop down and feast on the roadkill. It’s cold and overcast as we pulled into the camp grounds at Thallon so we camped on the only cement slab there and plug into power, grabbing my towel I head for the shower’s that are set up to use the Thermal Springs water and the smell is a bit rank but thats normal and as long as it’s wet and hot I don’t care.

I said to Des, look there’s blue sky ahead, until I got closed and realised it was the blue plastic they use in these parts to cover the wheat that’s being harvested before the rain hits again.
Des and I walk to the local pub for a coldie were I scanned the walls and wrote our names behind the door when I spotted this photo that amused me no end.
The Truckwits are the winners of the Truck Pull Festival 2021
It's a crews of six who have to pull a 12-tonne prime mover over 25 metres in the fastest time with a winning's of $3000, wow not bad just to pull a truck.
I wait in the wormth of my bed while Des tackles the cold to make my morning cup of herb tea with just a bit of honey, he's learning.
Why would anyone in there right mind ride a push bike along these roads, I know one thing, they cause the poor truckies grief, especially when cars are coming the other way and you have no choice but to slow down, hit them I say, I'm kidden.😏
I managed a fly by shoot of the old Moonie Hall but unfortunately I couldn’t find any information on the old building.
