20200711 Qld Lara Camp Oven Dinner

20200711 Every Saturday night Gertie cooks up a storm with his famous Camp Oven dinners and we were lucky enough to be there for the pea ham soup, chicken and veggies stew and damper with jam and cream 😋. Campers gather at the the camp kitchen with their plates waiting to be served while tapping their toes to the entertainment, The Country Horizon Duo.

Gertie, our Dutch camp cook 👨‍🍳 and funny bugger who made the most of my tumble given me grief about my grassed nose.

The crowd gathers waiting for their feast while listening to the hip hop music from our camp entertainers.

Opps, Pete busted me sneaking some pics of the boys in red, just be wary of the one in disguise with the cowboys tee shirt, he’s has his eyes on you at all times. Check out Gertie in his sexy long shorts and red shirt, he looks like he's just escaped from a catholic school.😇 

Pete makes a mean fire, just be wary these are the same blades I fell over when I gashed my leg.

Dan Prosser is an ABC radio presenter and producer who stayed the night at Lara Wetlands and was keen to interview Jodie on how Lara Bush camp first came to life.

There were three guys camped at Lara, one being the ABC radio announcer Dan so we drove up to them and Jodie said, we've had a few complaints so you guys need to pack up and leave, the reply was, why, are we too good looking and we all burst into laughter.😅

The Australian Bustard is a large ground dwelling bird which is common at grassland, woodland and open agricultural country across northern Australia and southern New Guinea and stands at about one metre high, the wingspan is around twice this length.
