20120223 NSW Jervis Bay-Huskinsson-St Georges

20120223 Camped up just off the main highway central to Jervis Bay so we could tour around Huskinsson & St Georges by bike the next day.  Stop at Huskinsson first, we had a lovely stroll around the harbor checked out the sea food, it seems all these little fishing villages only have farm prawns & very expensive, so we miss out again.


Haskinsson Bay very pretty the water is so clear you could see the tine fish swimming around merrily, I really would have loved to jump in the water, but it was to bloody cold.


Headed back to our bike for our next journey to St George when we spotted a guy holding our helmet & an aged lady beside him, Des yelled out Ha, what are you doing mate, Mate reply- This lady knocked your bike over & couldn't find you to pick it up so she asked him if he could help, with that he handed the helmet back & promptly walk away.  The poor lady walked up & down the street looking for the owners with no luck that's when she asked this guy to help her, she copped it from Des anyway.   I'm bugged if I know who she didn't see it poor lady.  She broke the taillight & we lost some fuel, after some arguing she was happy to hand over $50 with the guarantee that she never here's from him again, Des said, I don't ever won't to see you again lady.  The poor lady we both felt sorry for her but that didn't stop Des from taken the $50.

20250406 What an amazing experience, we are so proud of our little man Hamish after being excepted to be part of a high level U12 squad to travel to Spain to participate in the MICFootball Tournament. (Costa Brava, Barcelona). MICFootball is one of the most prestigious youth football tournaments in the world that’s been running for over 20 years. Many of the highest quality and well known clubs from around the world participate in this tournament every year. 20240911 NSW Moonbi Lookout to Walcha, Aratula to Home

20240911 On our way towards Tamworth, we heard there rain heading our way so our aim is to park at the lookout in Moonbi that has solid ground. The wood has been stripped around the camp site so I walked deeper into the bush and returned with a bag, there’s no stopping me when it comes to my fires. Des prepared dinner while I set up the fire, we had dinner then sat around my nice fire while sitting under the nights stars and enjoying a few ales. We had a new camper turn up today and camped just in front of us with his little Jack Russell Dog who came for a visit and took a liking to Des. The Moonbi Lookout, Perched on a huge granite outcrop at an elevation of 754m (2,473ft) above the sea level. The View overlooking the valley below, stunning. The Moonbi Lookout is off the New England highway then follow the Lookout Road to the car park at the top where there is plenty of room for overnight parking. 20250408 Spain Madrid 3

20250408 It’s still the same day as we continue our walk along the streets of Madrid, the main homes are units, mainly because i t has almost 3.5 million  inhabitants and a metropolitan area  population of approximately 7 million. Madrid  began in the 9th century with the founding of a fortress named "Mayrit" by the Emir Muhammad of Córdoba, the city flourished under Arab rule but was later reconquered by Christians when it became part of the Kingdom of Castile. In 1561, Madrid was officially made the capital of Spain by King Philip III. C heck out these buildings they are so beautiful and unique and I did notice there are no cloths lines hanging outside, but don’t be deceived there’s a lot of little nooks and crannies hidden out the back of these buildings.
