20150818  After leaving Waldo’s  we travelling a mere 30 to 40 ks to catch up with another old mate “Nobby” for a couple of days where we were greeted with another warm welcome.  We have been very fortunate catching up with these guys as some of them work in the mines and have been home on leave.  After a chat and a cuppa Nobby took Des and I site seeing through  Mandurah,  Fremantle and around the docks. The last time was 1989 since these pair last seen have each other so they are making up for lost time. Nobby said he had a boat that was named after Des, it was called "tax dodge", well we pissed out laughing. A bloody clown is our Nobby, that's his photo pose. 20150811   The year was 1988 when Desie left the Redlands to travel Australia and meet up with Waldo and Scotty in various towns working their way around.   Des had told me many stories of their expedition and the one that stands out is when they all worked together removing asbestos in Melbourne and they all lived together.   Every afternoon after work one would buy a carton of beer which they would ALL drink that night (of cause), that would be there routine every day and no one missing out.   Des and Scotty were the main cooks as Waldo doesn’t cook and to this day he still won’t cook, apparently Scotties spaghetti Bolognaise was the best they had ever tasted although he cooked it for ages and Desie made the best Chinese while Waldo was left with the dishes which he still does to this day, I get the feeling our Waldo’s a bit of a creature of habit.
